DeVos Hall opening (1980)
DeVos Performance Hall opened in Grand Rapids as a 2,404-seat theater. It became the city's main venue for Broadway tours and symphony performances.
The hall immediately became the anchor of downtown Grand Rapids' performing arts scene.
For over 40 years, it has hosted major touring productions and local arts groups.
The venue's October 2026 lineup follows this long-running role as the region's primary touring stage.
