Deep Ellum Distillery at 2817 Canton (2010s–early 2020s)
Deep Ellum Distillery ran as a small-batch vodka producer out of 2817 Canton Street, pouring tasting flights and running weekly tours in a converted space. It was quietly aging an Irish-style whiskey made with unmalted Texas barley.
The distillery closed, freeing the Canton Street space for new use.
The location's history as a distillery and tasting room made it a natural home for the next whiskey concept.
The Private Rickhouse takes over the exact address, replacing a walk-in tasting room model with a membership-driven one.
