Targeting 2027-2028 commercialization with Idemitsu
Donut Lab's March 31, 2026 deadline for Verge Motorcycles deliveries came and went without independent verification of the company's headline specs. To rebut growing skepticism, Donut Lab launched a PR campaign called 'I Donut Believe' and published three rounds of results from Finland's VTT Technical Research Centre. VTT confirmed the battery charges to 80% in 4.5 minutes at cell level and retains 97.7% charge after 10 days idle; at pack level, a Verge TS Pro's 18 kWh battery charged from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes using air cooling. Verge Motorcycles claims the TS Pro is now the world's first commercially sold vehicle with a solid-state battery.
