A West Michigan homebuilder wants to add 172 homes at Greenville's Hathaway Woods and rent some below market rate. He's asking the city to pay for new roads and sewers with the property tax revenue those homes would generate.

Approving authority for street closures and parking use

Canadian wildfire smoke forced Greenville to cancel its annual Party on Lafayette street festival in July. On August 4, the city council voted unanimously to reschedule it for September 19, closing M-91 from Washington to Montcalm, plus Cass and Grove streets near Lafayette, and reserving 15 parking spaces in Lot 6.

Approved the $281,179.95 contract unanimously

The parking lot at AG Davis Park's ball fields dates to the 1980s and has crumbled to the point that, as The Daily News put it, "it's not even pavement anymore." On August 18, the Greenville City Council voted unanimously to replace it.
