Logan and Brigham City temples (1884/2012)
The church dedicated the Logan Utah Temple in 1884, then added the Brigham City Utah Temple 128 years later, about 20 miles away. The newer temple was smaller and built to serve members who otherwise drove to Logan.
Brigham City took on everyday worship, while Logan remained a regional and historic hub.
It established a pattern of pairing new, smaller temples with pioneer-era landmarks.
Ephraim and Manti repeat that pattern at a much closer distance—seven miles.
