SAP acquires Ariba (2012)
SAP paid $4.3 billion for Ariba, the largest supplier-network and procurement firm. The deal folded Ariba's supplier data into SAP's enterprise resource planning suite, giving customers a single source for vendor information inside their core systems.
Ariba's supplier network grew under SAP's distribution and became the default procurement layer for large enterprises.
SAP later absorbed Ariba into its S/4HANA and Business Network offerings, making supplier data a native part of the ERP.
Eftsure is following the same playbook, absorbing a vendor data validation point solution into a broader payment platform instead of leaving it standalone.
